Not Every Purchase Involves a Trip to the Store

When the search is part of the fun

Looking2 wants to help those who keep useful and valuable things useful and valuable even after they've outgrown their use and value to their original owner. With the demise of local classifieds and community bulletin boards, here is a place where the second-hand market remains accessible even to those who see it as something of mystery: garage, estate, and rummage sales, swap meets, auctions — all are welcome.

e.g., Garage Sale, Estate Auction, Neighborhood Swap Meet

Now for the Date Information (please follow carefully for best results)

  • One-day sale? Enter that date as Date 1 (do not use Date 2).
  • A week or less? Enter the opening date as Date 1 (do not use Date 2 — you’ll be able to add up to 6 more dates at no extra charge at the end of the listing process with each showing up as a separate listing using our cloning feature.)
  • Longer than a week? Enter the opening date as Date 1 and the closing date as Date 2. Every date in between will show up in a search within that date range so please use the Note field to indicate days you may be closed or other important details.

e.g., 10 AM, doors open at 8:30, every Wednesday, closed Mondays

Now, tell us about it, using any or all of the following fields:

e.g., estate or garage sale, auction, swap meet e.g., antiques, furniture, tools, collectibles, clothing e.g., rain or shine, indoors, weather permitting e.g., pet-friendly, no early birds, FREE, admission $__" e.g. cash only, cards accepted, digital payments

The next fields are for phone number(s), websites, social media, or short phrase — whatever helps interested parties access information they may want. You don't have to use all four, and you can use them in whatever order you prefer.

  • Please use the 412.555.1212 format for phone numbers and label them in parentheses if necessary
  • Websites don't need “http://” or “www”
  • Use whatever social media format you prefer
  • Short phrases like "see website for further information"
  • We recommend obfuscating email if you use it (e.g., name [at] domain [dot] com) to avoid spammers
e.g., 'Everything must go!', '30+ Vendors!'

Here’s what we’ve gathered so far, in the format Looking2 uses for Listings. If you’d like to make changes, you can scroll up and edit any field before clicking the button and adding your location.
