Places, Everyone!

All the world's a stage; make sure the one you're performing on is easy to find

Support of the performing arts is support for civilization itself. Home theaters and screens can’t always beat footlights and applause—stepping out can beat staying in, especially when the options are as easy to find as Looking2 makes them.

We'll start with Date Information (please follow carefully for best results)

  • If your troupe is performing on just one date, enter that date as Date 1 and ignore Date 2.
  • Running for up to a week? Use the first performance as Date 1; leave Date 2 blank — you can add up to 6 more dates when you finish Listing at no extra charge using our cloning feature.
  • Running longer than a week? Enter the first performance as Date 1 and the last performance as Date 2. All dates in between will appear in searches for that range, so please use the Note field to note any days when the troupe is not performing.

e.g., 8 PM, doors open at 6:30, see website for schedule, etc

Now we'll build a Headline using the following searchable fields:

e.g., Hamlet, The Nutcracker, Spring Gala please shorten or abbreviate if necessary a playwright, director, choreographer, or other creator whose name alone may be a draw use “at” or “at the” if you use this field

Here are some fields to tell Lookers something about the performance:

e.g., play, musical, staged reading, dance, improv e.g., Off‑Broadway, community, high school, professional e.g., comedy, drama, experimental, family‑friendly e.g., all ages, mature, 18+ e.g., FREE!, starting at $__, see website for pricing

The next fields are for phone number(s), websites, social media, or short phrase — whatever helps interested parties access information they may want. You don't have to use all four, and you can use them in whatever order you prefer. (Note: we recommend including the venue's website.)

  • Please use the 412.555.1212 format for phone numbers and label them if necessary
  • Websites don't need “http://” or “www”
  • Use whatever social media format you prefer
  • Short phrases like "watch us on YouTube"
  • We recommend obfuscating email if you use it (e.g., name [at] domain [dot] com) to avoid spammers
e.g., rave review quote, “SOLD OUT RUN!”, slogan

Here’s what we’ve gathered so far, in the format Looking2 uses for Listings. If you’d like to make changes, you can scroll up and edit any field before clicking the button and adding your location.
